I’ve always loved animals and taking care of them is my passion. I have been in the pet care industry since 2012 when I started working at a dog daycare in downtown Vancouver. It was from then that I knew I wanted to work with animals. I have experience working at a local Victoria pound, the BC SPCA, as well as a no-kill animal shelter in Richmond, BC. I also previously worked as a receptionist at an emergency animal hospital. I started providing private dog walks in 2012 while I worked at the daycare, but it wasn’t until 2017 that Dusty Dogs was born. Now I primarily focus on adventure hikes and pet sitting.
I have volunteered with a number of local animal rescues, whether it be pub night fundraisers, bottle drives, adoption events and fostering. I have fostered 2 cats, and 6 dogs (1 of which I adopted). I have been down to Mexico to volunteer at a dog rescue and have flown a few dogs back to get adopted out to loving families.
Sadly, in 2018 I lost my beloved first dog Milo and my rescue cat Sweetness who I miss both dearly. I currently have 2 dogs, Dusty and Scooby, who are both rescues. I also have a 20 year old cat, Buffy, who has been around since I was in grade 3!!
Whether it’s walking your dog, feeding your cat, or taking care of your pet while you’re away, I always provide a nurturing and safe environment and treat your pets like they are my own.
